Oytun Orhan’s ORSAM study dated 7 July 2015 updates the 2009 Lebanese Turkmen field research. It adds Dinniyeh Turkmens, Cretan-origin Turkish families, Anatolian-origin families, Circassians and Mardinite communities.

The study discusses how post-2011 migration from Syria might affect social structures around Akkar and Baalbek. Its demographic assessments belong to the research period and cannot substitute for a current 2026 census.
